Remixpoint Abandons Altcoins in Favor of Bold Bitcoin-Only Strategy
Tokyo-based Remixpoint has made a bold move in its cryptocurrency strategy by divesting all of its alternative assets and focusing exclusively on Bitcoin. The company liquidated positions in Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin on September 1, generating approximately $5.5 million in proceeds from the sale.
The transaction resulted in a combined profit of about $742,000 across the portfolio, with Ethereum delivering gains of $379,000, Solana contributing $311,000, and XRP adding around $72,000 to the bottom line. In contrast, Dogecoin was the sole underperforming asset, closing with a $21,000 deficit compared to its fiscal year opening valuation.
The negative outcome on Dogecoin is notable given its significant presence in the Japanese market, where it has been offered for trading since 2022 and even has an official benchmark price. Remixpoint's new strategic direction reflects an intention to streamline investment focus and optimize capital deployment by consolidating holdings into Bitcoin exclusively.
