Remixpoint Cuts Altcoin Holdings, Maintains Large Bitcoin Treasury
Japanese energy consulting firm Remixpoint has decided to cut its exposure to ETH and XRP after conducting a market review. The company's decision was based on current market conditions, the risk-return profiles of these assets, and its financial strategy.
The sale of all altcoin holdings generated ¥117.8 million ($746,800), which will be recognized as business-segment revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2027. Ethereum produced the largest profit at ¥60.2 million ($381,000), followed by Solana at ¥49.3 million ($312,000) and XRP at ¥11.5 million ($72,900).
Dogecoin was the only outlier as it generated a loss of ¥3.3 million ($21,000). Remixpoint still holds roughly 1,506 BTC in its treasury, worth over $115 million.
The company's Bitcoin strategy has also produced additional income through lending. Between February 24 and August 31, Remixpoint earned 14.92 BTC in fees, valued at ¥164.2 million ($1 million) using the relevant month-end exchange rates.
