Remixpoint Ditches Altcoins, Focuses on Bitcoin-Only Portfolio
Japan-listed Remixpoint has opted to divest its entire portfolio of alternative cryptocurrencies in favor of a Bitcoin-only strategy. The company sold off all 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million DOGE held in its treasury for $5.5 million, yielding a net gain of $737,000.
The sale was conducted on September 1, as disclosed by the company's latest filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The assets were sold at prevailing market prices, resulting in gains of $377,000 from ETH, $308,000 from SOL, and $72,000 from XRP. However, the DOGE position incurred a loss of $21,000.
Remixpoint now holds approximately 1,506 BTC, valued at around $115.3 million as of September 2 prices. The company attributes its decision to concentrate on Bitcoin to improving capital efficiency and clarifying its investment strategy.
