Remixpoint Ditches Altcoins for Bitcoin
Japan's Remixpoint has sold all of its ETH, XRP, SOL, and DOGE holdings, leaving only BTC as its crypto asset.
The company sold a total of ¥878.81 million ($5.5 million) worth of altcoins, making a profit of ¥117.77 million ($737,000).
The sale included 901.45 ETH for ¥353.43 million, with a profit of ¥60.2 million ($377,000), and 13,920.07 SOL sold for ¥227.89 million, generating a profit of ¥49.3 million ($308,000).
Remixpoint also sold 1.19 million XRP for ¥260.43 million, earning ¥11.5 million ($72,000), but incurred a loss of ¥3.3 million ($21,000) from selling 2.80 million DOGE for ¥37.08 million.
The company now holds around 1,506 BTC, making it the third-largest publicly listed Bitcoin holder in Japan behind Metaplanet and Nexon.
Remixpoint will use the proceeds mainly to buy and deploy large-scale electricity storage batteries as part of its energy business expansion.
