Remixpoint Ditches Altcoins for Bitcoin-Only Treasury
Japanese public company Remixpoint has made a significant shift in its cryptocurrency holdings by selling all of its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin. The sale, which took place on September 1, generated a total of ¥878.8 million ($4.47 million) and resulted in a profit of ¥117.8 million ($598,400).
Remixpoint held the sold assets for some time, with Ethereum generating a profit of ¥60.2 million ($305,900) and Solana adding ¥49.3 million ($250,500) to its value. XRP produced ¥11.5 million ($58,500), while Dogecoin recorded a loss of ¥3.3 million ($16,500).
The company cited market conditions and risk-return characteristics as the reasons for selling its altcoins, stating that it decided to 'comprehensively consider the market environment, the risk-return characteristics of each cryptocurrency...and other factors' before making the decision.
Remixpoint's focus will now be on Bitcoin, which it has valued at $116.1 million and ranked 38th among public-company Bitcoin holders. The company's Bitcoin holdings have been accumulating over time, with recent purchases including a $154.7 million private placement funded directly with Bitcoin.
