Remixpoint Ditches Altcoins for Exclusive Bitcoin Focus
Remixpoint, a publicly traded cryptocurrency in Japan, has announced that it will focus solely on Bitcoin (BTC) after selling its altcoin holdings. The company stated that it aims to diversify its investment portfolio and reduce assets by focusing on a single digital asset. Remixpoint held approximately 14.92 BTC as of the end of August, valued at around $1.026 million.
The sale of altcoins included 901 Ethereum (ETH), 13,920 Solana (SOL), 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million Dogecoin (DOGE). The company generated approximately $5.5 million in revenue from these sales, resulting in a profit of around $736,800.
Remixpoint's decision to focus on Bitcoin mirrors the trend among institutional companies that consider Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset due to its limited supply, high liquidity, and increasing adoption by institutions.
