Remixpoint Dumps Altcoins for Bitcoin-Only Strategy
Japanese-listed company Remixpoint has made a significant shift in its cryptocurrency strategy by selling all of its Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) holdings. The sale generated approximately ¥878.8 million, which is roughly $7.6 million USD at the current exchange rate. This move marks a change from Remixpoint's previous approach to cryptocurrency investment.
The company sold 901 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million DOGE, realizing a combined gain of around ¥117.8 million. The largest profit came from Ethereum at approximately ¥60.2 million, followed by Solana with about ¥49.3 million.
Remixpoint's decision to focus on Bitcoin (BTC) is not necessarily a bet that the altcoins will underperform. Instead, it reflects a strategy to simplify treasury management and create a more clearly defined cryptocurrency policy. The company has 1,506 BTC in its portfolio and is exploring ways to generate additional value from its holdings through lending.
