Remixpoint Shifts Focus to Bitcoin After Selling Altcoin Holdings
Japanese energy consulting firm Remixpoint has significantly altered its cryptocurrency portfolio after conducting a market review. The company revealed that it made ¥117.8 million ($746,800) from selling its altcoin holdings and plans to recognize this gain as business-segment revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2027.
Ethereum was the top performer for Remixpoint, generating ¥60.2 million ($381,000) after the company exited its position on September 1.
The decision to dispose of all altcoins and focus solely on Bitcoin was based on market conditions, risk-return profiles, and financial strategy, according to the company.
Remixpoint still holds approximately 1,506 BTC, valued at over $115 million. The company also earns income through lending its Bitcoin holdings, having secured ¥164.2 million ($1 million) in fees between February 24 and August 31.
