Republicans Circulate Revised CLARITY Act Ahead of Crucial Senate Vote
Senate Republicans have released an updated version of the CLARITY Act just days before a critical vote on September 15.
The bill, which affects Bitcoin (BTC), XRP, and Ethereum, remains largely unchanged from its previous iteration.
Key revisions include distinguishing between genuinely decentralized protocols and what it calls 'non-decentralized finance trading protocols', as well as strengthening language concerning credit unions.
Democrats have expressed skepticism about the bill's chances of passing due to unresolved ethics concerns, with one Democratic aide stating that the issue is the 'biggest stumbling block by far.'
