Revolut Accidentally Shares User Data with Hackers via Fake Government Request

Revolut, a fintech company, may have inadvertently shared sensitive user data with third parties after receiving a fake request from what appeared to be a government agency.

The incident was first reported by blockchain researcher ZachXBT, who stated that Revolut accepted the email as genuine due to its official domain verification information.

As a result, some users may have had their personal data accessed or shared, which could include names, dates of birth, occupations, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and copies of passports or driver's licenses.
