Revolut Enters Euro Stablecoin Market with EURR Launch
Revolut has launched its first euro-backed stablecoin, EURR, in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. This move puts the fintech giant into a competitive European stablecoin market led by Circle's EURC.
Circle's EURC currently leads the regulated euro-stablecoin market with €394.5 million in circulation as of August 24, 2026. The euro-stablecoin market has grown to $826.3M in onchain market cap, with Circle remaining the largest issuer with $525.4M.
Revolut's EURR is designed to maintain a stable value of €1 and will initially launch on Ethereum. The company aims to allow customers who earn, save, and spend euros to access blockchain-based money without first taking on dollar exposure.
