Revolut Enters Regulated Crypto Market with EURR Stablecoin

Share

Revolut has launched EURR, a euro-backed stablecoin regulated by the EU's MiCA regulations. The new digital asset is issued through a Luxembourg-based entity owned by Stripe and allows Revolut's 80 million users to convert euros into a stable digital token for blockchain transactions.

The initial availability of EURR is limited to select customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with plans to expand access across the European Economic Area in 2026. Revolut aims to simplify crypto use for everyday payments and transfers within its trusted financial app.

This marks Revolut's entry into regulated digital currencies, with future plans to develop stablecoins in other currencies.
