Revolut Hackers Demand 10,000 BTC Ransom Amid Customer Data Breach

A group claiming responsibility for the recent data breach at Revolut is reportedly demanding a 10,000 BTC ransom. According to posts on X, the attackers are threatening to release more sensitive customer information unless their demands are met.

The alleged demand was made by an anonymous group that posted images of redacted KYC material linked to Felix Römer, CEO of online-casino operator Gamdom and Skinscom. However, Revolut has not confirmed the authenticity of these claims or the reported ransom amount.

The data breach, which occurred through a fake government request, exposed sensitive customer information including names, dates of birth, postal and email addresses, telephone numbers, passports, and driving licenses. The attackers are now threatening to release more records, potentially putting customers at risk of follow-up fraud.
