Revolut Hackers Threaten Daily Leaks Until Company Pays
The threat actors behind a reported customer-data leak at Revolut have begun sharing stolen personal information online. They claim they will publish additional details each day until the company 'pays.'
The leaked materials reportedly include facial-verification images and scanned identity documents, which could increase the risk of identity theft and account takeover.
Revolut attributed the incident to a 'sophisticated external impersonation scam' that used an email address from a legitimate government agency domain. The company said its systems and customer funds were unaffected, but a limited number of customers were impacted.
Crypto users are particularly vulnerable to leaked transaction histories, which can be used to profile their spend patterns or platform usage.
