Revolut Introduces Euro-Pegged Stablecoin EURR

Share

Revolut has launched its first stablecoin, EURR, which is backed by the euro and pegged at €1.00. This move marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between fiat and crypto.

The rollout of EURR began with selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, but it's expected to expand to other EEA markets later this year.

Revolut's EURR is issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, and will be fully integrated into the Revolut retail app. This integration aims to provide eligible customers with a euro-denominated on-chain asset that can move between euros and crypto seamlessly.

The stablecoin has multiple blockchain networks and external wallet support, ensuring its widespread adoption and accessibility.
