Revolut Rolls Out Euro-Pegged Stablecoin to Select Customers

Share

Revolut has launched its euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR, to select customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal.

The token is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg entity licensed by the CSSF as both a crypto asset service provider and an electronic money institution.

Bridge holds and manages the reserves for EURR, while Revolut distributes it through its app. The fintech says wider EEA availability and stablecoins in other currencies are expected later this year, subject to regulatory readiness.

Revolut's head of crypto and new bets, Emil Urmanshin, said the token connects the company's 80 million customers to on-chain finance and unlocks 'real-world stablecoin utility that no traditional bank or crypto native can match.'
