Revolut has begun rolling out its first stablecoin, EURR, pegged to the euro, to select customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The company plans to expand the availability of EURR across the European Economic Area (EEA) later this year.

EURR is issued by Bridge Building under the EU's MiCA regulations and initially operates on Ethereum. Revolut aims to support multiple blockchains and external wallet transfers in the future.

The launch of EURR replaces Revolut's previous use of USDT in Europe, aligning with new regulatory standards and offering customers a euro-denominated onchain asset integrated into Revolut's retail app.

Revolut plans to develop additional stablecoins tied to other currencies and continues to expand its regulated crypto and banking services globally.
