Revolut Unveils EURR Stablecoin to 2 Million Customers
Revolut has launched its first euro-backed stablecoin, EURR, to about 2 million customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The rollout is a gradual one, with the asset available alongside traditional balances in the retail app.
EURR is pegged to the euro and can be used as fiat money or cryptocurrency. Its first network is Ethereum, but it's expected to expand to other networks in the future.
The stablecoin is created by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg-based company acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in February 2025. Revolut Digital Assets Europe offers EURR and has reserves managed by Bridge under MiCA rules in the European Union.
Revolut also announced that it will remove Tether's USDT from the EEA and Switzerland, converting remaining balances to customers' base currencies after August 31. This move is in line with Revolut's license as a cryptoasset service provider under MiCA.
