Rheinmetall Wins 56-Elephant Order from German Military
Rheinmetall AG has secured a significant order from the German military, the Bundeswehr, for 56 heavy-duty transporters worth approximately EUR 60.5 million gross.
The Elefant 2 tractor units are part of an extended framework contract first awarded to Rheinmetall in 2018. Under this agreement, up to 137 vehicles were originally covered, with earlier orders including 32 units.
The deliveries of the new transporters are scheduled for 2026-2027, as per the terms of the framework contract.
