Rhobinhood Expands Crypto Offerings with Three New Meme Coin Listings
Rhobinhood has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings by listing three new meme coins: Pengu (PENGU), Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT), and Popcat (POPCAT). The move is part of Rhobinhood's broader effort to grow its crypto business, which has seen a 700% jump in revenue year-over-year in February.
The listings come after speculation that PNUT was being added to the platform. In fact, an inactive PNUT page had appeared, sparking rumors among traders. The listing was later confirmed by Rhobinhood on X (formerly Twitter).
Rhobinhood's move is part of a larger trend in the US crypto market. Since President Donald Trump's election victory in November, U.S. exchanges have accelerated meme coin listings.
However, despite the excitement around these new listings, all three tokens are trading near their lower ranges. POPCAT has lost 76% of its whale wallets over the past three months, while PENGU and PNUT have seen significant drops in value as well.
