Rhysida Hackers Demand 30 BTC Ransom in Berlin Cyberattack
Berlin's Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing and the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment were temporarily disconnected from Berlin's state network after a cyberattack.
The attack became public on Aug. 14 and officials initially said only publicly accessible information had been taken before acknowledging that non-public data was affected.
Rhysida reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack and demanded 30 Bitcoin, worth roughly €2 million, in exchange for not publishing stolen information.
