Ripple Appeals SEC Ruling on Institutional XRP Sales to Second Circuit
Ripple is taking its fight against the SEC to the next level by filing an appeal in the Second Circuit, specifically challenging the district court's ruling on the company's institutional sales of XRP.
The move comes after a recent interview with CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty, who expressed confidence in winning the appeal. The Second Circuit has a history of skepticism towards the SEC and regulatory overreach, which may work in Ripple's favor.
Alderoty noted that reversing a loss in this court is low, but he believes the ruling will not only uphold Judge Torres' decision but strengthen it. Garlinghouse emphasized that a favorable outcome would significantly undermine SEC Chair Gary Gensler's regulatory agenda.
