Ripple Backs XRP Ledger Authority Delegation Change as Price Jumps
Ripple has expressed support for a change in authority delegation on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which has led to an increase in the price of XRP. The permission delegation mechanism, known as PermissionDelegationV1_1, has been put to a vote among validators.
Of the 35 validators who voted, seven supported the change, which requires that support from at least 80% of validators last for two weeks before it can take effect.
In related news, US spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a net inflow of $13.24 million on Thursday.
