Ripple Bolsters Institutional Digital Asset Infrastructure with Strategic Investments
Ripple is expanding its focus on institutional digital asset infrastructure as tokenized finance gains traction in production. According to Ripple President Monica Long, financial institutions are increasingly adopting tokenized assets for real-world use cases.
The company has made strategic investments in ZILO and Licuido, two companies focused on digital asset infrastructure for institutional markets. These investments will add regulated transfer agency technology, issuance capabilities, and collateral mobility to the XRP Ledger's blockchain infrastructure.
RLUSD serves as the regulated cash asset for delivery-versus-payment transactions on the platform. Long noted that institutions are searching for infrastructure that supports faster settlement, collateral efficiency, and regulated record keeping.
