Ripple Bolsters XRP's Liquidity with Strategic Investments in UK Fintechs
Ripple has made strategic equity investments in two UK fintech companies, ZILO and Licuido. This move is part of Ripple's expansion into institutional-grade Realized Profits and Losses (RWAs), which will enhance the liquidity and burn rate of its native token XRP.
ZILO specializes in compliant transfer agency and fund administration technology, while Licuido offers asset issuance and trading platform regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. These investments are expected to strengthen Ripple's infrastructure footprint in compliant tokenization, digital capital markets, and institutional-grade collateral liquidity.
In the short term, market price volatility remains limited due to the time needed for the transition from corporate investments to actual on-chain transaction volume. However, in the medium to long term, this strategic investment is a key step towards building a complete closed-loop financial system for XRP, spanning compliant issuance, on-chain custody, collateral financing, and instant settlement.
