Ripple Boosts XRP's On-Chain Utility with Major DeFi Moves
Ripple is making significant strategic moves to boost XRP's on-chain utility and expand its DeFi ecosystem. The company has partnered with Sentora, an institutional DeFi platform, to make FXRP available as collateral in Sentora's RLUSD vault on Morpho.
This development allows XRP holders to mint FXRP, bridge it to Ethereum mainnet DeFi, use it as collateral, and borrow RLUSD while maintaining their XRP exposure. This eliminates the need for XRP holders to swap their tokens for RLUSD to access liquidity.
RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Cooper revealed that the upcoming XRPL 3.3.0 upgrade will bring ZK-powered privacy for tokenized assets, focusing on institutional users. As tokenization grows, this feature could make it easier for XRP holders to access liquidity without selling their tokens.
The on-chain data suggests these developments are building momentum for Ripple's Q3 outlook. While XRP's price action remains weak, the company is strengthening XRPL's fundamentals through strategic partnerships and expanding its DeFi ecosystem.
