Ripple Brings XRP Branding to Florida Gators Football Field
Ripple has signed a multi-year partnership with the University of Florida to put XRP branding on the football field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, as part of a deal that also includes digital properties and event signage.
The agreement marks Ripple's latest major college sports partner, following its similar deal with the University of Kansas earlier this year. The company will support financial and technology education for student athletes and the campus community under the partnership.
University of Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said the school has a history of adopting technology to improve its programs and fan experience, adding that 'Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we're excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation.'
The sponsorship campaign is running alongside Ripple's expansion into other financial infrastructure businesses, including payments, custody, corporate treasury services, and its Ripple USD stablecoin (RLUSD), which crossed $2 billion in market capitalization in August.
