Ripple Brings XRP Branding to University of Florida Football Stadium
The University of Florida has partnered with Ripple in a multiyear agreement that will bring XRP branding to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, home of the Florida Gators football team. The deal is reportedly worth $5 million annually and will extend into the university's digital properties and event signage.
The partnership also includes financial and technology education for student-athletes and the broader campus community, in line with Ripple's efforts to promote crypto awareness through its 'Ripple for Good' initiative. This effort has already seen $25 million pledged to U.S. education programs, supporting 48,108 projects and introducing blockchain training in high schools.
This is not the first time Ripple has entered into a college athletics partnership, it previously reached an agreement with the University of Kansas, which will see XRP branding on Jayhawk uniforms across the athletic program. The company's expansion into university partnerships focuses on building applications for the XRP Ledger and supporting education programs.
