Ripple Burns $15M Worth of RLUSD Tokens Amid Ongoing Treasury Transactions

Ripple recently burned 15 million RLUSD tokens, worth approximately $15 million, by sending them to an Ethereum null address. This move comes as part of ongoing large treasury transactions tied to its stablecoin.

The burn follows recent minting and redemption activity in early September, with Ripple minting 18 million RLUSD on Sept. 7, after issuing 20 million and 16 million tokens on Sept. 4 and Sept. 3.

Ripple continues to expand RLUSD across institutional payments, lending, tokenization, and collateral-focused financial products. The company's growth has led to an increase in market capitalization, reaching about $2.42 billion on Sept. 10, up from roughly $1.76 billion on Aug. 18.
