Ripple CEO Calls for Clear Regulatory Rules Amid Industry Uncertainty
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has emphasized the importance of clear regulatory rules for the U.S. cryptocurrency industry, pointing to his company's own experience in seeking licenses and its support for the CLARITY Act.
In a recent video from the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, Garlinghouse stated that Ripple's 75 licenses worldwide demonstrate the company's commitment to operating within established regulatory frameworks.
Garlinghouse also referenced the four-year legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), noting that while XRP has received clarity on its status as a non-security, further regulation is needed for the broader industry.
Ripple supports the CLARITY Act, which aims to provide clearer requirements for businesses operating across the cryptocurrency industry, Garlinghouse said.
