Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently spoke at the third annual Wyoming Blockchain Symposium about his company's approach to regulation. He rejected the idea that the cryptocurrency industry opposes regulatory oversight, stating 'the idea that crypto was anti-regulation is the exact opposite.'

Garlinghouse pointed to Ripple's 75 licenses worldwide as an example of the company's efforts to operate within established regulatory frameworks rather than avoid them.

Ripple supports the CLARITY Act despite XRP already having significant legal clarity, according to Garlinghouse. He noted that the federal court's ruling that XRP itself is not a security provided 'clarity for XRP,' but emphasized that Ripple views comprehensive legislation as important beyond its own legal position.

Garlinghouse also highlighted the importance of clear rules for businesses operating across the cryptocurrency industry, stating 'in order for the industry to succeed in the United States, we need clarity for the whole industry.'
