Ripple Demands Senate Hear from Everyday Crypto Users Ahead of CLARITY Act Vote
Ripple is urging the Senate to hear from everyday cryptocurrency users before voting on the CLARITY Act. The bill's passage depends on a 60-vote majority, and Ripple wants lawmakers to understand who they're affecting with their decision.
The National Cryptocurrency Association claims that over 67 million Americans own cryptocurrencies, or about one in four adults. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, including teachers, plumbers, photographers, and supply chain managers.
Ripple's chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty, is pleading with Senate offices to meet with a real American crypto holder before the September 15th vote. He wants lawmakers to hear directly from individuals who rely on cryptocurrencies in their daily activities, not just lobbyists or policy groups.
