Ripple Ditches Own Cross-Chain Bridge in Favor of External Solution
Ripple has recommended to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) community to retract proposal XLS-38, which aimed to improve cross-chain functionality within the ledger.
The proposal, known as XChainBridge, would have allowed XRPL to move assets directly between chains using its native function. However, Ripple now suggests using Axelar, an external cross-chain network, for this purpose instead.
Axelar has confirmed that it is working on a bridge for the XRPL EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) sidechain, effectively rendering XLS-38 redundant.
