Ripple has donated $300,000 to support emergency food, water, and sanitation assistance in Nepal and Tibet following devastating flooding. The donation was made to World Central Kitchen and Mercy Corps, two organizations working on the ground to provide critical aid.

The floods have severely damaged critical infrastructure, including roads, bridges, power systems, and communications networks. In Nepal, at least 17,000 children were affected, with 18 schools destroyed and 20 sustaining damage. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is seeking $17.2 million for health, nutrition, water, sanitation, education, child protection, and early-recovery programs.

Ripple's donation builds on the company's existing relationships with World Central Kitchen and Mercy Corps, which have been exploring the use of Ripple Payments and stablecoin RLUSD to distribute emergency funds more quickly and transparently. The contribution is a significant extension of Ripple's humanitarian partnerships, demonstrating the company's commitment to using its technology for good.
