Ripple Doubles Down on RLUSD Institutional Adoption Amid Transfer Volume Drop
Ripple is continuing to push forward with its institutional adoption of the RLUSD stablecoin. Despite on-chain data showing a 26% drop in transfer volume, the company has introduced two new initiatives to support the token's growth. The first initiative is Ripple Mint, a platform that allows institutions to create, redeem, and track RLUSD through a web dashboard or direct API integration.
Ripple also announced a strategic investment in Notabene, a compliance platform that processes over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. This integration will make it easier for financial institutions to send and receive RLUSD while meeting global compliance requirements.
While transaction activity has slowed down, network activity is improving elsewhere. RLUSD's monthly active addresses have jumped 68.2% to 11,167, while the holder count has increased around six percent over the last month. The stablecoin remains distributed across two major blockchain networks, with the XRP Ledger holding the largest share of its supply.
