Ripple Expands Digital Asset Infrastructure in Asia through SettleMint Partnership

Ripple has announced two partnerships in Asia to expand its digital asset infrastructure. The company has partnered with SettleMint, a digital asset infrastructure provider, to offer tokenized asset custody and management solutions for financial institutions. Ripple's institutional-grade digital asset custody infrastructure, Ripple Custody, will be integrated with SettleMint's digital asset lifecycle platform (DALP), covering the entire lifecycle of tokens and simplifying the process of managing digital assets for institutions.

Just a day earlier, Coincheck Group announced a partnership with DFNS, a wallet infrastructure provider, to build digital asset wallet technology and custody services in Japan. The collaboration aims to establish more institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure in Asia, addressing the challenges faced by traditional financial institutions in entering the cryptocurrency space.

The growing demand for digital assets in Asia is evident from Chainalysis's 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, which shows that on-chain crypto activity in the region has grown at a rate of 69% year-over-year, outpacing other regions. As a result, several Asian countries are developing their own regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrencies.
