Ripple Expands Institutional Ties with Collateral Adoption and Tokenization Push
Ripple's influence in institutional finance continues to expand. One key development is the adoption of XRP as collateral for institutional credit lines, enabled by the XLS-65/66 lending protocol now live on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple Prime already accepts XRP as eligible collateral alongside Bitcoin, RLUSD, fiat currency, gold and treasuries.
A September 8 SEC filing from Charles Schwab revealed that XRP ETFs are now being used as repo collateral, with usage reportedly growing quickly. This indicates deepening institutional trust, just a year after Ripple's SEC litigation concluded.
