Ripple Expands Stablecoin Operations with $1.71B RLUSD Supply
Ripple has continued to expand its stablecoin operations by minting an additional 10 million RLUSD. The latest issuance brings the total supply of this US dollar-backed stablecoin to approximately $1.71 billion.
The mint was recorded on the XRP Ledger, where RLUSD operates alongside XRP (CRYPTO:XRP). This increase in supply is designed to support growing demand for RLUSD, which can be used for payments and transfers due to its fixed value of $1.
Ripple launched RLUSD in December 2024 as part of its expansion into stablecoins and digital asset payments. The stablecoin has since expanded across multiple blockchain networks and crypto platforms.
