Ripple Inks Multiyear Deal with Florida to Brand Stadium with XRP Logos
Florida has signed a multiyear sponsorship deal with Ripple, a provider of blockchain solutions across traditional and digital finance. The agreement will place XRP logos on Florida Field beginning with Saturday's game against Florida Atlantic.
Ripple's XRP cryptocurrency is designed to move money in seconds at a fraction of the cost of traditional banking. According to athletic director Scott Stricklin, 'Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance the experience of our fans and advance our programs.'
The partnership will generate $5 million annually for Florida. In addition to digital properties and event signage, Ripple will support financial and technology education for student-athletes and the campus community.
