Ripple Invests in Notabene for Institutional Stablecoin Growth
Ripple has invested in Notabene, a company that specializes in regulated on-chain transactions. The investment will allow RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, to be integrated into Notabene's enterprise compliance network. This network currently connects over 2,300 institutions across more than 100 jurisdictions and processes over $2 trillion in annualized volume.
Notabene operates what it calls the world's largest open network for regulated on-chain transactions. The company verifies counterparties and authorizes payments before they settle. With this investment, RLUSD will be folded into Notabene Flow, a business-to-business stablecoin platform that handles pull payments, recurring payments, and automated invoicing.
The two companies are also exploring the possibility of using Notabene's pre-transaction authorization tools alongside Ripple Payments, Ripple's existing cross-border settlement product. This deal targets banks, custodians, and fintechs already piloting stablecoin settlement, not retail XRP holders directly.
