Ripple Issues Warning as Fake XRP Rewards Scams Intensify
The XRP Ledger Foundation has issued a warning about fake rewards and wallet phishing scams targeting XRP owners.
RippleX, Ripple's developer platform, discovered a scam called 'XRP Rewards Scanner' that hijacks wallets using phishing attacks.
The foundation warned that no legitimate organization will ask for a wallet's secret key or recovery phrase, and users should be cautious of posts promising free XRP or asking them to provide wallet information.
Ripple shared practical security advice, reminding users to check messages and posts via official channels and not engage with suspicious websites or transactions.
