A mutual fund called Kinetics Internet Portfolio has invested in Ripple Labs itself, rather than XRP. The $248 million fund acquired Class A common shares issued directly by Ripple Labs, giving it ownership of the company.

The SEC filing shows that this stake is valued at around $246,000 and represents about 0.1% of the fund's total net assets.

This investment is significant because institutional investors are increasingly turning to private markets for exposure to Ripple, rather than waiting for a potential public offering.
