Ripple Launches Institutional Platform as AlphaPepe Hits Milestones
Ripple's institutional platform for minting its RLUSD stablecoin, Ripple Mint, has officially launched. The platform allows institutions to mint, redeem, bridge, and manage RLUSD through an API or dashboard. This is a significant development for the XRP Ledger ecosystem as it provides real infrastructure for a growing stablecoin with a market cap of over $1.6 billion.
However, while Ripple Mint is a genuine step forward for the company and the XRP Ledger, its impact on the price of XRP itself is indirect and gradual. The benefit to XRP comes from every RLUSD transaction burning a small amount of XRP, which can lead to a gradual decrease in supply over time.
Meanwhile, AlphaPepe has confirmed three listings with mid-tier exchanges Azbit, BiFinance, and Biconomy. While this is a notable achievement for the project, rumors have surfaced about a potential listing on an unnamed exchange that could be its biggest yet. However, at present, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.
AlphaPepe's presale has reached Stage 20 with over $2.3 million raised and a price of $0.02602. The project has also completed two audits, including one from BlockSAFU, which gave it a perfect score.
