Ripple May Unlock More XRP From Escrow With Passage of CLARITY Act
A recent filing by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has suggested that Ripple may release additional XRP from its escrow accounts if Congress passes the CLARITY Act.
The registration statement for the Cryptex Digital Market Cap ETF, which allocates approximately 4.88% of its portfolio to XRP, includes language indicating that Ripple could unlock more XRP to support on-ledger liquidity for stablecoin and foreign exchange trading pairs if the CLARITY Act becomes law.
Australian lawyer Bill Morgan highlighted this language on social media, noting that it was a new development in Ripple's escrow management practices.
