Ripple Partners with University of Florida Sports Division
Ripple has signed a major deal in the US that will bring the XRP brand to the University of Florida's sports teams. The multi-year partnership between Ripple and the Florida Athletics division will see the XRP logo displayed at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, home to the Florida Gators. According to sources, Ripple will pay the university approximately $5 million annually as part of the agreement.
Florida Athletics Director Scott Stricklin stated that the University of Florida has a history of embracing innovation and technology, and Ripple's financial technology expertise aligns with this goal. The partnership aims to introduce XRP to the university's fans through various digital advertising spaces and events on campus.
Ripple will also provide educational support to students and student athletes in traditional finance, financial technology, and digital assets as part of the agreement. This move is seen as a significant step for Ripple's brand awareness, particularly with the XRP logo regularly visible in the football stadium of a major US university.
