Ripple Presents RLUSD Growth as CLARITY Act Vote Nears
Ripple is preparing to present its growth in RLUSD at Stablecon USA, an event that coincides with the anticipated Senate procedural vote on the CLARITY Act. The act aims to reshape the U.S. digital asset market structure.
RLUSD's regulatory progress contrasts with the broader crypto regulation landscape, where rules for cryptocurrencies like XRP remain unresolved. Ripple's stablecoin has continued to operate within a defined environment, with New York's Department of Financial Services recognizing it as an approved stablecoin. The company maintains that RLUSD's reserves meet the NYDFS requirement for 1:1 dollar redemption.
Ripple has sought further oversight and compliance by applying for a federal trust bank charter. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granted conditional approval for Ripple National Trust Bank in December 2025, which would bring RLUSD's reserve management under OCC supervision. However, this step does not yet permit the immediate launch of the bank.
As of September 3, RLUSD's circulating supply has grown to approximately $2.40 billion, supported by about $2.52 billion in reserves. This growth is significant compared to a year earlier, when supply stood near $700 million.
