Ripple Prime Launches Institutional Trading Desk as XRP ETFs See Strong Inflows
Ripple's prime brokerage arm, Ripple Prime, has launched a delta-one desk that allows institutional clients to execute total-return swaps on US-listed equities, indices, and digital assets. This move positions Ripple deeper into traditional capital markets territory than ever before.
The desk carries over $1 billion in regulatory net capital, with its balance sheet reinforced by a recent $275 million private placement of unsecured senior notes following a $200 million credit facility secured from Neuberger Specialty Finance.
Meanwhile, XRP exchange-traded funds have seen significant inflows, logging their strongest week of the year through August 28. Spot XRP ETFs pulled in net inflows of $110.49 million, with cumulative net inflows now standing at $1.66 billion and total net assets across the funds reaching $1.44 billion.
The token itself is lagging behind its institutional momentum, trading at $1.39 but down 5% over the week. However, it's up 28% over 30 days and 22% above its 50-day moving average of $1.14.
