Ripple Reaffirms Commitment to Middle East Blockchain Education

Share

Ripple has renewed its partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) to advance blockchain research and education in the Middle East.

The agreement extends through 2027, providing financial support for NYUAD's initiatives focused on decentralized technologies and market efficiency. Researchers Raša Karapandža and Yaw Nyarko will lead projects that aim to boost market efficiency and reduce trade barriers using blockchain-based systems.

One key project is the Volta Initiative, a mobile application that facilitates trade among smallholder farmers in Ghana through the use of blockchain. The next phase of this project will expand Volta into additional regions, building on its initial success.
