Ripple Says Banks Are Moving Tokenized Assets to Production Environments
Ripple President Monica Long announced on August 4 that financial institutions are transitioning from pilot programs to production environments, moving tokenized assets from testing to live use.
This shift is linked to Ripple's strategic investments in ZILO and Licuido, which provide transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility tools for the company's capital markets infrastructure on the XRP Ledger.
One example of this transition is Aviva Investors' launch of its first tokenized fund share class on the XRP Ledger, RLUSD, in July. This product allows eligible investors to access the fund through approved digital wallets and reduces settlement risk by settling payment and tokenized fund units together.
