Ripple Secures Full MiCA License for Regulated Crypto Payments Across 30 EEA Markets
Ripple has secured full authorization from Luxembourg's CSSF for its MiCA license, allowing regulated crypto payments across all 30 European Economic Area markets under a unified framework.
This development brings Ripple to a small handful of digital asset business operators that have been fully approved by MiCa since its introduction. The company now holds over 75 regulatory licenses and approvals worldwide.
The new Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license joins Ripple's existing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, enabling the company to offer collection, exchange, and payout services via Ripple Payments in a single regulated relationship.
Ripple has stated that institutional adoption of digital assets is hindered by compliance issues, which can be resolved with regulatory clarity. The company's latest authorization arrives as stablecoins become increasingly important within global payments infrastructure.
